Facebook launches software tool to convert Instant Articles into Google's AMP & Apple News Formats

Facebook launched Instant Article format for all the websites last year and compelled all the publishers, brands and other site owners to convert their web content into Facebook proprietary.

The challenge in front of publishers, brands and site owners was also to support Google's AMP and Apple News formats.

Now, finally, Facebook has decided to make the things a bit easier for these publishers and site owners. Facebook has launched a tool for developers, which will convert Instant Article format into Google's AMP and Apple News formats. All the three formats will look similar and homogeneous.

Publishers will have to create first Instant Article format of their content and then using this tool, the content will be automatically converted into Google's AMP and Apple News formats.

Offering this software tool, the chances are that Facebook Instant Articles will become more influential than Google's AMP and Apple News formats, because the publishers will have to first convert their content into Facebook Instant Articles, and later on Facebook may introduce some restrictions, which Publishers will have to follow such as number of ads on an Instant Article pages. However, right now, Facebook hasn't revealed this kind of intentions.

Publishers can include code in their Instant Article content to override the automatic conversion of their content into Google's AMP and Apple News formats.

Publishers will be able to export their Instant Article style details into Google's AMP and Apple News formats such as fonts, colours, captions etc.
